Fond du Lac Reporter, Thurs. Feb. 13, 1987, p. 20. Chester A. Oakley, 82, of Mt. Calvary, died Thurs. Feb. 12, 1987, at St. Agnes Hospital, following a lingering illness. He was born Feb. 12, 1905, in Charlestown, a son to George and Mary Merril Oakley. On Nov. 17, 1945, he married Regina Blatz Petrie in Mt. Calvary. Mr. Oakley attended Charlestown grade schools. He and his wife resided in Mt. Calvary all their married life. He was employed by Sadoff Metal, Fond du Lac, until retiring. Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Willard and Delmar Petrie, both of Mt. Calvary; seven step-grandchildren; 12 step great-grandchildren; one brother Donald Oakley of Chilton; and one sister, Mrs. Violet Phillips of Menasha. Preceding him in death were four brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Huss Funeral Home, St. Cloud. The Rev. David Matenaer will officiate. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday after 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
