Mrs Mary A. Canfield died at 10 o'clock Sunday morning at her home 554 North Church street. She was, eighty-six years old last March. Her death was due to complications incident to old age. Mrs. Canfield was the widow of Myron H. Canfield. Her maiden name was Mary A Livingston. She was born at Wilmington, Ind , March 27, 1840. She had resided in Decatur for the last forty-five years or more. She and Myron H. Canfield were married April 22, 1860. She was a member of the First Methodist church for over forty-five years. She is survived by the following children: Louis E. Canfield of Aberdeen Wash, Rev Omer T. Canfield of Lombard, Mrs H. J. McDonald and Mrs. Maude Young, both of Decatur. There are fifteen grand-children and ten great grand-children. The body was removed to the Brintlinger & Sons undertaking establishment and prepared for burial. The funeral will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the First Methodist church. The body will be placed in the mausoleum in Greenwood cemetery.

The public mausoleum was torn down in 1967 and Mary was placed in a common grave with her husband, Myron.
