The funeral for G. Leonard Reed Jr., 72, of Route 3, Box 1560, the Bolentown Community, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Bethany Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ralph C. Moore officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dwight Williams, Carl Williams, Tom Bonnette, George
Bonnette Jr., Henry Bonnette jr., James D. Reynolds Jr., Paul Bonnette and Douglas Reed.

Mr. Reed died Saturday evening.
He was born in North, a son of the late George L. and Mamie Tyler Reed. He was a retired security officer.

Mr. Reed was president of the Pine Hill Lions Club and a member of Edisto Fork Grange and Bethany Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Martha Bonnette Reed of the home; his
step-mother, Mrs. G.L. (Aletha) Reed of Lexington; a sister, Mrs. Belton (Jewel) Culler; a brother, Ted Reed of Lexington; three nieces and a nephew.

Friends may call at the residence and at Dukes-Harley Funeral Home in
Orangeburg.

The family suggests that memorials may be to Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund.
