Havana, IL - Adah E. Peterson, 82, of 200 S. Broadway died at 9:16 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, 1998, at Mason District Hospital.

Born Aug. 16, 1916, in Knapp Island, Mason County, to Daniel and Mabel Richard Avery, she married Donovan Charles Peterson on Sept. 5, 1936, in Eureka. He died Dec. 19, 1989.

Two brothers also preceded her in death.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Gary (Pam) Hazzard of Havana; one sister, Bessie McMullen of Venice, Fla.; one brother, Allen Avery of Poinciana, Fla.; and one granddaughter.

She was a waitress at Gizmo's restaurant in Bath.

Burial will be in Bath Cemetery.
