Samuel Wilson first married on 24 Dec 1827 to Ann Siron, in Pendleton County, (West) Virginia. 1850 census lists the family as: Samuel Wilson (48) and Ann Wilson (47).
With children:
John W., Jemima, Emily E., Lucetta., Gideon H ., Lyda Y., Rebecca L., Samuel F., Jonathan and Sarah J. - WILSON.

James S is the oldest of Sam & Ann Siron's kids and was born Jul 4, 1825. He is the other son listed with John W in the 5 and under section of the 1830 (then) Lewis Co Census.

On Nov 8, 1848, Jim and Anna Eliza Ferrell were married there. They had 10 kids, my grampa Kelly's father (James L Wilson) being the oldest. In Sep 1863, James S, his younger brothers John W and Gideon and others in the 133rd Upshur Co. Militia awere drilling. They were attacked by Confederates. John & Gideon got away but my James S and many others including William Raikes were marched to Richmond. Richmond was having a measles epidemic and according to William Raikes' Dec 20, 1863 letter to home, he was in a hospital and said, "James S Wilson is dead. He died about 2 weeks ago. He had the measles.
