Ralls county Record dated Feb 22, 1882
Died at her residence in town of New London, Ralls county, Mo. on this morning of Feb 11, 1882, Mrs. Louisiana B. Mayhall. Born in Caroline County, Va on Nov. 9, 1805, she moved to Ky when a small child. She was married in Franklin Co., Ky, Nov. 14, 1826 to Samuel W. Mayhall. Came to Missouri in the spring of 1830 and settled in New London, June 11, 1830. She was a Methodist in early life. Joined the Christian church in spring of 1838 and was the first person known to have been buried with Christ in baptism in waters of Salt River. Her funeral was preached at the Christian Church on Sunday forenoon, Feb. 12, by Elder Wm. H. Cooke. She was buried in the Old New London Cemetery beside her husband who died in April, 1874.
