Caleb E. Starr Dead
Caleb E. Starr of Zion community died Monday after a lingering illness at the age of 72 years. Uncle Bose, as he was familiarly known, was a lifetime citizen of his community and widely known. The Starrs are a very prominent family of people in Adair county.
Our County Clerk and Floyd Starr, a prosperous farmer of Starr are sons of his. Hooley Starr, Mrs. Venia Asberry, Mrs. Georgia Gonzalis and Mrs. Jack Scacewater are children of his. Everything that loving hearts and willing hands could do was done, but all to no avail, he fell quietly and peacefully asleep. He was buried at Zion cemetery after funeral by Rev. Ben Hill.
