Tom was very active in the Boys Scouts of America Troop 556. He was Chairman of the Archdiocese of Atlantic Catholic Committee on Scouting. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and •Eileen Bender. and brother Patrick. He is survived by sons, Ted Bender, Tucker, GA; Peter Bender of Tallahassee,.FL. John and Victoria Bender, Snellville, GA;. grandchildren, Elijah and Penelope ex-wife Dorrie, brothers and sisters, Dennis and Patty Bender, Sharonann Bender, Peggy and Joe Cruver Mary and Delbert Potmesil, all Omaha; Jerry and Dana Bender, Cape Girardeau, MO; Fred and Betsy Bender, Omaha, NE MASS at Holy Name Church Thursday November 18 at Noon.
