Funeral services were held at 10:30 a. m. Thursday, August 14, for Robert L. Wilson of Dysart, who died Tuesday, August 12, 1975 at Schoitz Memorial Hospital, Waterloo. Officiating at the services, held at the Overton Funeral Home in Dysart, was Rev. William Ballard, pastor of Dysart United Methodist Church. Mr. Wilson was 77 years old. Interment was in Dysart Cemetery.

Born at Farley, Iowa on March 28, 1898, the son of Frank and Alice Dare Wilson, he traveled as a salesman for the Welch-Cook-Beals Co. of Cedar Rapids, moving to Dysart in 1922. He and a Mr. Crosby operated the Crosby and Wilson General Merchandising Store for several years, then he bought out the interest of Mr. Crosby, operating the store himself. He also owned several farms in this area.

On November 18, 1922, he was united in marriage to Lurena Leo. They continued to live, in Dysart and operated the store and Mr. Wilson also engaged in farming. In 1946 he sold the store to Ed Bader and devoted his entire time to his farming interests.

He is survived by Ins wife; only son, Robert Dean of Dysart; a brother, Darrell of Winthrop; two sisters, Mrs. Willard Gates of Winthrop and Mrs. Hazel Bamer of Yucapia, California; and ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by o daughter, Mrs. Sidney (Patricia) Turnquist of Boseman, Montana. Pallbearers were Ed McAndrews, Elli Harrington, Albert Keidel. Charles P. Wilson, J. D. Wilson and Wade A Wilson. Mrs. Mabel Aschenbrenner was organist.
