Cecil V Tracy, of Union, who was brought to the Hinton Hospital Saturday evening, died Sunday evening at 6:30 o'clock following an operation for peritonitis, due to a ruptured bowel. He was taken seriously ill Friday night and brought here as a last resort, but his case was regarded as practically hopeless foorm the start. Mr Tracy was asst cashier of the Bank of Monroe at Union. He was 32 years of age and a very popular young man, and up until his fatal illness was said to have been the picture of health. He leaves a brother - H P Tracy, of Union, and sisters - Mrs A Leach of Bromhurst, Miss Lillian Tracy of Alderson, and Mrs J S Hall and Miss Bessie Tracy of Bluefield. Another brother, C E Tracy, died one month ago in Baltimore of some throat trouble. He was taken suddenly ill and also died in about 24 hours. The remains were taken to Sinks Grove for burial, which took place Tuesday afternoon.
