Karl, three brothers, and his parents immigrated to the US, arriving on the William Tell on March 4, 1853.
Karl worked as a silverplater as did two of his sons: George and Charles.
In about 1866 Karl married Catherine McKinley, an Irish immigrant. The 1900 census states the couple had 11 children but family records note only eight (two of whom died young):
Amelia A. (Emilie) Eisele b. abt 1867
Charles W. Eisele 1869-1874 (died, age 5 of scarlet fever)
Emma L. Eisele b. 1870
George J. Eisele b. abt 1873
Catherine E. Eisele b. abt 1876, d. July 23, 1885
Walter F. Eisele b. 1880
Clara Eisele b. after 1880
Charles W Eisele, Jr b. 1884
The 1900 census stated that of Catherine's 11 children, only only six were living. Four were living with Catherine: Emma, George, Walter, and Charles.
Karl is buried with his son Charles (the Charles who died at age five), daughter Catherine, and his parents. We do not know when or where his other children or his wife Catherine [McKinley] Eisele died or are interred.
