Betty J. Craine, 88, of 1348 Georgeanne Drive passed away Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at Pekin Manor.

Born Oct. 19, 1922, in Pike County, Ind., to Fred J. and Lola M. (Smith) Bakies, she married Robert H. Craine on Aug. 2, 1942, in Pekin. He died Jan. 21, 1988, in Peoria.

She also was preceded in death by one son in infancy, David Richard Craine; and two brothers.

Surviving are one daughter, Nancy J. (Gary) McCulley of Pekin; two grandchildren, Marci A. (Kevin) McDonald and Marc D. (Melinda) McCulley, both of Pekin.

Betty worked as a secretary for her daughter's insurance agency from 1988 until retiring in March 2010.

She was a member of Celestial City Chapter 333, Order of the Eastern Star in Pekin. She was a former member of the Pekin Hospital League and Sunset Hills Country Club.

Betty enjoyed making crafts, playing golf and formerly enjoyed bowling.

Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin.
