Funeral services will be held Friday, November 10, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Melancon Funeral Home in Carencro for Rodney Alleman, age 61, who passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 2:15 p.m. at his residence in Church Point.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens in Carencro. The Rev. Noah Langley will officiate at the services.

Mr. Alleman was a native of Mire, LA, a former resident of Lafayette, and had been a resident of Church Point, LA since 1980. He was owner and operator of Rodney Alleman Towing for over 20 years.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, the former Betty Trahan Alleman of Church Point, LA; one son, Rene' Alleman and his wife, Monique, of Church Point, LA; two daughters, Cynthia A. Meche and her husband, Jesse, and Sharon A. Alleman and her husband, James, all of Church Point, LA; seven grandchildren, Titus Meche, Latyra Hammer, Theresa Meche, Trent Meche, Wyatt Alleman, Brock Alleman and Shaina Alleman; three great grandchildren, Jasmine Hammer, Madison Hammer and Riely Meche; one brother, Adam Alleman and his wife, Laura, of Duson, LA and four sisters, Sadie A. Lavergne of Mire, Evelyn Alleman of Leesville, LA, Diana A. Richard of Duson, LA and Rosella A. Richard and her husband, Rickey, of Church Point, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Forestier Alleman and mother the former Ida Thibodeaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until service time on Friday.

The family would like to thank the Doctor's and Staff of Hospice of Acadiana for their care and support during Mr. Alleman's illness, especially his nurse Patty and Brother Langley.

Pallbearers will be Rene' Alleman, James Alleman, Titus Meche, Jesse Meche, Trent Meche, Brock Alleman and Wyatt Alleman.

Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro, 4615 North University Avenue was in charge of arrangements.
