Obituary

Edward Rocheford, a resident of this city for many years died early this morning in his home 234 Greene Street after a three weeks illness. Death was caused by a complication of diseases.

He was born in St. Albans, Vt. April 7, 1864, a son of Joseph and the late Rachel Rocheford, and came to this city while a young man, conducting a harness shop at Monument square for many years. He removed from the Monument square location to River Street where he has been for the last six years. Seventeen years ago he married Miss Ethal Sprague, Rev. F.H. Spear, at that time pastor of the First Methodist Episcopal Church performing the ceremony. Besides his father and wife, he leaves two sisters living in Omaha. He was a member of Myrtle Lodge, Knights of Pythias.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock in his late home, and Rev. Charles A. Denfeld, rector of St. James Episcopal Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery where Myrtle Lodge will conduct the Knights of Pythias ritual for the dead.
