MARION - James Robert Baker, 77, died about 2:30 a.m Monday at a local hospital after a brief illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Tuesday from his home near Marion by the Rev. Leon Thompson, pastor of the Centenary Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Baker Cemetery.
Mr. Baker was the son of the late James Robert and Mary Monroe Baker of Marion County. His wife, the former Fannie Brooks died in 1956.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. C. E. Lane; and 2 grandchildren, all of the home.
