Funeral services were 1:30 p.m., Monday, November 4, at The Assembly of God Church in Stapleton. The Rev. James O'Bryan officiated. Music was provided by Violet Clausen, Mrs. James O'Bryan and Mrs. Roger Patton. Pallbearers were George Kramer, Joe Kramer, Kenneth Kramer, Raymond Kramer, Richard Kramer and Robert Kramer. Burial was in the McCain Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion and V.F.W. Posts of Stapleton.
Harold Vincent Gill was born June 1, 1902, the son of Coral and Dalorus (Applegate) Gill. He married Hilda Clara Suckstorf on December 5, 1935, in Meadow Grove. They were blessed with the birth of nine children. He was a life-time resident of Logan County and was employed as a well driller. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 324 and Veterans of Foreign War Post No. 8258, Stapletion.
Surviving are his wife, Hilda; four sons, Lloyd Gill, serving in the Navy, Carl Gill of Ft. Lewis, WA, Daniel Gill of Wichita, KS, and Larry Gill of of Stapleton; four daughters, Lois (Floyd) Musgrave of McCook, and Laura (Cortland) Stalnaker, Lila (Charles) Little and Mary Gill, all of Wichita, KS; six grandchildren; and one sister, Ethel Kramer of Stapleton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Donald Gill and one sister, Nellie Gill.
