Services for Orville C. Abbott, 65, of 4001 S.W. Ninth St., will be at 2 p.. Thursday at Dunn's Funeral Home on S.W. Ninth street. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Abbott was pronounced dead on arrival Monday at Iowa Methodist Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Unionville, Mo., and had lived here 23 years.
He was a receiving clerk for a motor supply firm. Mrs. Abbot was a member of the North Bend, Ia., Christian Church. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Mamie; two sons, John of Hayward, Calif., and Charles of Des Moines; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Summy, Des Moines; his mother, Mrs. Aseneth Abbott of Exline, and three grandchildren.
