Mildred Branan

CLAY CENTER-- Mildred Branan, 86, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010, at Medicalodge in Clay Center.

Ms. Branan was born Aug. 21, 1924, at Clay Center, the daughter of Charlie and Norma (Harrison) Branan.

She grew up in Clay Center and lived in Prineville, Ore. for 20 years before moving back to Clay Center in 1995. She worked as a waitress and cook. She is preceded by a son, Frank Smith, one brother and one grandson.

Survivors include one son, Fred LaMore of Salem, Ore.; one daughter, Dawn Carter of Bend, Ore.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Cemetery in Clay Center with Pastor Grant Clay officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be made to the Evangelical Covenant Church in care of the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Funeral Home, 918 7th St., Clay Center, KS 67432.
