ANTHONY BRANDYMORE DIES IN DANVILLE HOME

Anthony Brandymore, colored, a veteran of the civil war, passed away at 3:30 o'clock on Sunday morning in the soldiers' home in Danville, where he had been for two months. Death was due to an attack of heart trouble, the final illness being of very short duration.
The funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock on Tuesday afternoon from the African Methodist Episcopal church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. W. Roberts. Burial will be made in Dodge Grove cemetery.
Mr. Brandymore was seventy-four years old, having been born in Kaskaskia, Ill., on June 21, 1838. For thirty years he had been a resident of this city, having been engaged as a barber virtually all of that time, retiring about four years ago. A few months ago he decided to enter the soldiers' home.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Anna Brandymore, and the following children: Mrs. Mabel Calimese, Tuscola; Mrs. Eunice Calloway, St. Louis; Perry Brandymore, in the United States army and stationed in the Phillipines, and John Brandymore, porter in the Frank Dolan barber shop in this city.
