Charlotte was a daughter of John Russell and Bessie (Hudson) Davidson. She attended school in Milton, graduating in 1939, and then attended two years of Business College in Janesville. On May 4, 1946, she married Chester Joseph Skelly at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Milton. She worked at the Wisconsin Telephone Company in Janesville for a number of years, Milton Savings and Loan as a Bookkeeper, and together with her husband, brother and sister-in-law, operated Davidson and Skelly Sunnyview Apple Orchard from the 1950s until around 1990. In her spare time, Charlotte was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Milton Business and Professional Women's group, St. Mary's Catholic Church, and loved to volunteer at the Gathering Place. She played bridge in the same group for over 50 years, and was an avid baker and knitter. She passed away at the Edgerton Hospital.
