Mrs., Nutter dies of Heart attack at celebration, Pekin death interrupts a happy occasion this morning during a birthday party for her granddaughter, while guests were singing the familiar "Happy Birthday", Mrs. Gretchen Lucille Nutter suffered a heart attack, she died at 11 AM. on the way to Pekin Hospital, the party was being held at the home of her son, Eugene Nutter, 814 Catherine St., where Mrs. Nutter lived, she was born in Saybrook, Illinois on January 6th. 1893, a daughter of Charles and Olive (Root) Armstrong, she married Victor Nutter in Lincoln 1915, he died December 1941, those surviving are Leigh Nutter of Minneapolis Minnesota, Hubert Nutter, of Bartonville and Eugene Nutter of Pekin, with whom she made her home, and ten grandchildren, two brothers, Glenn and Stanley Armstrong, both of St. Louis, Missouri, and one sister Gwen Bredlow of England, Arkansas, one sister and one brother are deceased, friends may call at Noel Funeral home, time and place of services will be announced.
