Funeral services for Flora Bacon, 72, wife of the late William Bacon of Grant was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Grant, with the Rev. Clement M. Rowe, local pastor in charge. Miss Helen Blackburn and Mrs. Gerald Taylor sang, "In The Garden" and " Abide With Me", accompanied by Mrs. Earl Spiker. Pall bearers included J. E. Brown, Charles Ruhl, Merril Foote, N. H. Jones, D. J. Chalmers, and Elver Shafer. Interment in the Grant Cemetery was in charge of the Wolfe Funeral Home of Villisca.
The daughter of Ed and Mary Ann Wilson was born August 15, 1886 and died June 6, 1959 at the Villisca Nursing Home in Villisca where she had been a patient for several years.
She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Charles Morrow of Victorville, California, Mrs. E. A. Lambert of LaPlata, Missouri, Mrs. Ed Curtis of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Fred Johnson of Lockridge, and five brothers, Carl Wilson of Columbus Junction, Ralph Wilson of Lewistown, Missouri, Freddie Wilson of Crawfordsville, and George Wilson of Salina, Kanas.
Relatives coming for the services included Mrs. Fred Johnson of Lockridge, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wilson of Burlington, and also a cousin from eastern Iowa.

Burial June 10, 1959 in Grant Cemetery, Bradley Wolfe, undertaker. She was married to Thomas Murray on March 16, 1910, who died in 1915. She married William Lyman Bacon on October 6, 1921 in Montgomery County, Iowa.
