Richard Allen Barnes, 56, of Nederland, Texas passed away at his home with his family at his side after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on March 7, 1954 to Robbie Lee Barnes and Margaret Blazek McIntyre. He was a member of Lamplighter Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret McIntyre of Nederland; 2 sons, Kris Barnes and Robbie Barnes, both of Nederland; daughter, Rachel Barnes of League City; 2 sisters, Linda Waddell of Orange and Pam Immenhauser of Katy; and 3 grandchildren, Bailey, Addison, and Emma Barnes.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robbie Lee Barnes.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, November 18, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, November 19, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Rev. Tim Hanley officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
