Henry Hower, an old resident of Harrison township who recently moved to Superior, died quite suddenly Tuesday night.

On Thanksgiving this community was surprised to hear of the death of Mr. Henry Hower, who passed away the evening before. Mr. Hower was taken sick on Monday evening but they did not think his condition serious until about twenty minutes before he passed away. They phoned to his sons but they were all too late to see him alive. Henry Hower was born September 29, 1848, in Adams county (sic), Indiana; died at Superior, Nebraska, November 23, 1910, aged 62 years, 1 month, 27 days. He became a christian at the age of 19 years and lived faithful to the end. He was married to Miss Sophia Myers at Hill Top, Brown county (sic), Kansas, on the 7th of October, 1885. There were born to this union five children, three sons and two daughters, all with the mother are left to mourn their loss. They lived in this township 26 years, moving to Superior less then two months ago. Mr Hower leaves two brothers and one sister, living in Indiana. He had a large circle of friends in his old home and new also who extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bevreaved (sic) family. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church, Superior, where his body was laid to rest in the Superior cemetery.
