Edna Baggett, 85, of Roosevelt, Oklahoma, passed away at her home south of Cooperton, Oklahoma on Monday, November 15th, 2010.

She was born February 18th, 1925 in Cooperton, Oklahoma to Arthur and Mollie (Millard) Sears. She graduated from Cooperton High School, Cooperton, Oklahoma in 1944 and from OSU in 1948. She taught school at Crooked Oak and at a Midwest City Elementary School. Edna married Roy E. Baggett on February 7, 1953 in Norman, Oklahoma and he preceded her in death on October 18, 2009. In the 1980's, they moved to the family farm near Roosevelt. She was a Methodist.

Survivors include one nephew and wife, John Ray and Jan Sears, Cordell, Oklahoma; one niece, Mollie Jane Rogers, Monroe, Louisiana; one sister-in-law, Johnnie Sears, Roosevelt, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Graveside Services: 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 19th, 2010 at Spring Hill Cemetery, Cooperton, Kiowa County, Oklahoma, with Rev. Tim Tutten, Minister, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home of Hobart, Oklahoma.
