Born in Salt Lake City, Utah to the late George E. and Mary G. Angerbauer on May 10, 1920.
He graduated from South High School and served a full time LDS mission to the East Central States Mission. Upon returning, he was drafted into the U.S. Army. He fought in the 90th US Infantry Division during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. After returning home, he worked for the US Postal Service as a clerk and mail carrier.
He married Merilyn Zina Tew on September 14, 1964 in the Salt Lake Temple and they built a home filled with music, love, laughter, and enduring faith. Merilyn died of cancer in 1990.
Lawrence loved developing real estate and completed his final building project at the age of eighty-four. He enjoyed remarkable health and vitality until just before his death.
He is survived by his brothers George J. Angerbauer and Ralph E. Angerbauer, his sister Marion E. Carroll, his six children, George, Michael, Jaren, Jeffrey, Julie, and Mark, and his twenty-eight grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the LDS meetinghouse, 4601 South Chapel Street (2568 East), Holladay. Funeral Services will be held in the same building on Saturday November 20, 2010 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. (viewing) and 11:00 a.m. for services.
