Benjamin Harrison Blagg, born 1813 in either Pendleton or Highland County, Virginia; the son of Abraham Blagg & Jane Carlyle (Jones) Blagg [aka Virginia Jane Carlile JONES]. Benjamin married Sarah Spicer on October 23, 1837. They had 11 known children. He died in 1882, in Upshur County, West Virginia.

Four of their children all died in Nov or Dec 1861 from an outbreak of black diphtheria, and are also buried in Wilson Cemetery. They are Francis Asbury Blagg, John Dyer Blagg, Jane Carlyle Blagg, and Hannah Coalter Blagg. A big THANK YOU goes out to "Leon Lane Sr (Rocky)" for providing headstone photos of the 4 children.
