Daughter of Daniel Threlkeld Colvin and Margaret Aulick.

Married 1: 31 August 1850 to John Wesley Daniel (divorced)
Married 2: 8 May 1878 in Falmouth, Pendleton County, Kentucky to a widower, Charles Davis

Cynthia and John Wesley Daniel were the parents of 8 sons and 1 daughter. Two of the children died young:

George Daniel (1851-1853)
Stephen A. D. Daniel (1859- before 1870)

The other 6 sons and 1 daughter were alive at Cynthia's death in 1909, although what became of Joseph Rand Daniel (born in 1857) is currently unknown.

Cynthia's obituary:

IN MEMORY
Mrs. Cynthia B. Davis (nee Colvin) was taken suddenly ill Friday, April 30th, and died Sunday morning, May 2d, at her home in Latonia, aged 74 years, 10 months and 9 days. She was conscious until the last, made all preparations as to her business affairs, conversed with the children that were present and asked for the absent ones.

She looked so calm and peaceful in her lovely casket covered with beautiful flowers, placed there by loving kindred and friends. The funeral was held from the residence.

She leaves to mourn their loss six sons and one daughter, 22 grandchildren, two great-grand children, four sisters--Mrs. H. F. Smith, of this place; Mrs. Elizabeth Tarvin, Mrs. Harriet Daniels, Mrs. Arthana Daniels--with other relatives and a host of friends.

She was laid to rest until the resurrection morn in Lincen Grove cemetery by the side of her husband, Chas. Davis, carried by four of her grandsons--Howard Daniels, Walter Daniels, Albert Daniels and Jos. Nelson.

A mothr true, a mother dear,
From you was called away,
And a flood of sorrow's tears
Falls o'er her graves cold clay.

Beloved by all, disliked by none,
'Tis hard with her to part.
Heavenly Father, Thy will be done,
Pray soothe her children's hearts.
