Services for Merlie Aileen Cannon Bozeman, of Thomasville, are at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at Victory Baptist Church where she was a member. The Rev. Gary Holland and Emery Autry will officiate and interment is in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers are Toby Green, Pascal Autry, Lavon Singletary, Darryl Jordan, Daniel Jordan and Carrol Higgs Jr.
Mrs. Bozeman died Nov. 15,2010 at Archbold Medical Center. Born May 2, 1921, in Thomas County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late Arch Cannon and Della Noles Cannon. In June of 1938, she married Odis Edward Bozeman. She was employed by Warners, Flowers Baking Co. and Southern Manor as a seamstress in Adel over 20 years.
Survivors include daughters, Eva Larrow of Sterling, Alaska, Shirley Faye Jordan Lodge (Dwight) of Whigham, Joyce Freeda Blackman (Lloyd) of Newton Grove, N.C., Linda Marcell Mercer (Billy Ray) of Thomasville; sons, Danny Odis Bozeman of Crestview, Fla., Horace Cannon of Pavo; sister, Velda Norega of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Clarence Cannon, Effie Jordan, Willie Cannon, Tessie Dixon Ella Wilson and Pervic Cannon.
