NANNIE C. BEACH
Nannie Catherine Walton, daughter of John and Catherine Walton, was born in Missouri on April 3, 1862 and went to her reward on February 20, 1951 at the age of 88 years, 10 months and 17 days.
She was united in marriage to Francis Marion Means on October 5, 1885, who departed this life on March 26, 1911. To this union were born six children: Myrtle May and Grace Gertrude, who preceded the mother in death. Left to mourn her departure are Wallace Sullivan Means of Melrose; Mrs. Clarence Hull of Russell and John Francis Means of Milan, Ill.; one brother, John Walton of Webster, S. Dakl, 25 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
At the age of 43 she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour in the United Brethren Church at Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Her present church membership was with the Methodist church of Russell.
In 1926 she was united in marriage to Abel Beach who preceded her in death in 1944.
She spent the last few months of her life with a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Hull of Russell.
Funeral services were held at Woodman Funeral Home in Russell, Thursday, February 22, 1951, at 11 a.m. with burial in the Russell Cemetery. Rev. Everett C. Bennett of the Bethel United Brethren church officiated.
