Clara Baldwin Stocker's mother was Sarah Ann Unruh and her younger half sister was named Anita May Baldwin. Clara had two children, a son named Albert, with her second husband, Albert Snyder, and a daughter named Rosebudd, with her third husband, Budd Doble. She died on February 27, 1929. Baldwin Stocker Elementary School in Arcadia CA gets its name from Clara.

Clara's fourth husband, Harold Stocker, was an opera singer, known professionally as Stuart Harold. Her favorite hobby was collecting jewelry. When she died on February 27, 1929, her jewelry was reportedly worth $1.5 million.

Clara Baldwin Stocker was the daughter of 'Lucky Baldwin', a famous land developer who owned much of the San Gabriel Valley in the 1920's. The Clara Baldwin Stocker Home in Covina, built by Lucky's great grandson in 1963 and using money set aside in Clara Stocker's will, is part of her generous legacy. The sole purpose of her bequest was to create a home of women who were without support from their families and who could no longer care for themselves.
In the years that followed, the home accepted men as well as women, and its grounds have been continually expanded to provide the services and caring environment originally envisioned by Clara Baldwin Stocker.
Her long tradition of compassion has been handed down from generation to generation. Today, the ancestors of Lucky Baldwin are still actively involved in the day-to-day management of the home.
