Richard Benson, 73, formerly of Chicago and for the last six years at the Pythian home for the aged died at 6 am Friday in the Decatur and Macon county hospital. He had been in ill health for a long time. His death was caused by cancer.
Mr. Benson was a member of Amigo lodge, Knights of Pythias in Chicago. He was a photographer by occupation. He came here from Chicago in 1928. He leaves two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Payne and Mrs. Ida White, both of Chicago. The body was taken to the Monson funeral home.
