Christopher Loveland had been appointed guardian for his mother when her mental faculties were failing during the late 1870s. She lived with him during her final years. He also petitioned the court to facilitate the sale of his parents' property following her death in 1881, in accordance with his father's will. This initiated a Sheriff's Summons to all of the living children of Christopher and Cynthia Loveland.
After Ann's death, Christopher married Mrs. Eliza Beckwith nee Sealey (1831-1914) on February 20, 1902 in Orwell, Ohio. Eliza's first husband, William Beckwith, had died 5 years prior to her marriage to Christopher. Eliza died of pneumonia on February 26, 1914. She is buried in Colebrook, Ohio with her first husband, William Beckwith.
