Wilhemina "Minnie" Gottlieba Krause was born to Mr.& Mrs. Fred Krause on May 26, 1881 in Germany. When she was 2 years old she came with her parents to the United States and settled in Michigan. They moved to Stiles, ND in 1892 and then on May 8, 1892 they settled in Minnesota Township, Roberts County, SD.

On November 23, 1897 Minnie married Rudolph Emil Lehrke at her parents home in Minnesota Township, Roberts County, ND. To this union 12 children were born 4 died in infancy.
