MARY (McKEE) RALPH , age 93, of Barry , Ill. died 5:55 a.m. Tuesday (October 31, 2006) at the Barry Community Care Center in Barry , Ill. She was born January 9, 1913 in Zalma , Missouri , daughter of the late John Delmar and Lillie Jane Stephens McKee. She married John William Ralph on July 6, 1929 in Bowling Green , Mo. and he preceded her in March of 1976. Surviving are two daughters, Donna Smith and husband Bill of Hillview, Il., and Wanda Harris and husband Joe of Barry, Ill.; a son, Glendel "Glen" Ralph of Barry, Il.; a foster son, Douglas Pruitt of Flora Vista, New Mexico; eighteen grandchildren; forty-nine great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, William K. Ralph; a foster son, Darrel Pruitt who was killed in Vietnam ; four sisters, Vera Fish, Fern Mullenix, Maude Daniels, and Kate Hammock; and two brothers, William B. McKee and A. Bland McKee. Mrs. Ralph raised foster children after her children were grown. She was a charter member of the Barry Church of Christ in Barry , Il . which was organized in 1952. She worked at Illini Community Hospital for over 15 years and later served on the hospital board. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting for mushrooms and fishing.
