"Decius Humphrey born on April 19, 1739 (1792) and on January 7, 1809 married Laura Adams, daughther of Ezra and Hannah(Wilcox)Adams. Note: "she was said to be the most beautiful lady in the county". Decius Humphrey took over the Adams business as a general storekeeper, farmer, and manufacturer of buttons.nbsp;He also raised silkworms. He and his wife had 11 children.nbsp;He served as a lieutenant in the War of 1812 in Capt. Sereno Pettibone's Company. He was Master of Village Lodge of Masons 1822-24.nbsp;He and his wife had 11 children. They moved to Huron, Ohio in 1853 and later to Muscatine, Iowa where he died on June 14, 1878."
