Services Here for Mrs. Mary Adams, Mrs. Alice Matthew
Funeral services for Mary Olive Adams and Alice [sic] Matthew will be held Wednesday afternoon. Both Mrs. Adams and Mrs. Matthew, residents of Livonia, Mich., were raised in Novinger where they lived as neighbors and were close friends. They died in Livonia an hour apart Saturday evening and the bodies will arrive at the Jackson Dee Riley Funeral Home together.
Funeral services for Mrs. Adams, 78, will be held Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock in the Jackson Dee Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Archie Cooper of Kirksville, officiating. Burial will be in the Taylor cemetery in Davis County, Iowa.
Bearers will be John Orek, Chester Smith, Paul Hammons, Phillip Mudd, Bobby Daniels and Harvey Young.
Matthew Service at 1 p. m.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock in the Jackson Dee Riley Funeral Home for Mrs. Matthew, 87, the Elder Clyde O. Johnson of Green Castle and the Rev. Edwin Cline, pastor of the Novinger Baptist church will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Green Grove cemetery.
The daughter of John and Nancy (Brown) Albright, Mrs. Matthews [sic] was born Feb. 1, 1878 in Adair county. On April 5, 1905 in Kirksville she married John Matthew and to this marriage two children were born. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Glen (Francis) Patterson of Detroit and Mrs. Larry (Helen) Swanson of Edilston [Edelstein?], Ill.; one brother, Charles Albright of Novinger; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
