Mount Union, May 15 - Frank B. Davis, a highly respected citizen of Mount Union for many years, died at his late home, Garber street, early Saturday morning, 1:30 o'clock, after an illness of three years. His health became impaired about three years ago. He had been confined to home the past year and had been very ill in bed for four weeks before his passing.

Born in Shirley township, Huntingdon county, May 4, 1862, Frank B. Davis was the son of Benjamin F. and Elizabeth Copenhaver Davis. He was united in marriage with Miss Margaret M. Smith of Wayne township in Newton Hamilton, June 2, 1882. To this union four children were born, one of whom. Amber F. Davis, is deceased.

Frank B. Davis was a member of a member of the First Methodist Episcopal church. He was an honorary member of the Mount union Fire Department since 1904 and has served as the financial secretary and assistant chief. He was also a member of the I.O.O.F. lodge No. 677 of Mount Union and the Encampment Chapter, of which he was a charter member and a member for 49 years. He belonged to the P.O.S. of A. and the P.O.S. of A. Burial Association and served as secretary of that body. During the past 43 years he has been a trustee of the I.O.O.F. lodge and has filled all the offices in that lodge.

Mr. Davis was a retired railroad employee. He was a member of the P.R.R. Relief; Sons of Veterans and the Railroad Trackmen Brotherhood as well as the Floral Relief.

H was employed with the East Broad Top Railroad Company for 20 years and with the Pennsylvania Railroad Company for 28 years. He was a track foreman and for 18 years was on the sub-division No. 44 1/2 with Mount Union as its headquarters.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Margaret Smith Davis and the following children: Charles L. Davis of Mount Union; Mrs. (Alda) Charles C. Koch of Altoona; Miss Laura B. Davis at home. One brother, James L. Davis of Aspinwall and two sisters, Mrs. Flora Hunt and Miss Martha Davis, of Allenport, Mount Union, also survive as well as nine grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the late home, Garber street, with the Rev. Dr. R. Skyles Oyler, First Methodist church and Rev. James Taylor of the First Baptist church, officiating. W. Q. Blatt, Funeral director, will direct interment in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Mount Union.
