SELMA KOENEMAN-MELCHER, 84, of rural New Haven died yesterday at home. The Allen County native retired in 1980 as co-owner of Beverly Nursery and its floral designer, was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Gar Creek, and widow of Edgar Koeneman, who died in 1962, and Harold Melcher, who died in 1983.

Surviving are a daughter, Verna Ehle of New Haven; a son, Kenneth Koeneman of New Haven; a stepdaughter, Marjorie Myers of New Haven; a stepson, Robert Melcher of Decatur; sisters, Malinda Sheumann of Fort Wayne, Vera Melcher of Woodburn, Hilda Meyer of New Haven and Gloria Meyer of Lake George; 11 grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
