From The Dead Files (2011) Episode Scripts, Season 6, Bound Ft. Barnwell; www,springfieldspringfield.co.uk :

Lonnie Lane was a young man, born in 1879.
When he was 20 years old, he apparently began a relationship of some sort with a young girl named Glennie Sauls.
This was in the spring of 1899.
But she was only 14 years old.
Her parents objected to the relationship because of the age difference, so they basically forbid him to see her.
On March 24, 1899, he apparently went to her house while her parents were out of town.
And they were seen leaving the house and going on a walk toward the woods.
They're not seen for the rest of the afternoon.
When nightfall comes, people become concerned and they begin to search for them. Their bodies are found in the woods, both shot in the head.
One of the articles that appeared gives the details of their relationship and what may have happened that afternoon.
There's some speculation that he wanted to propose marriage to her and that she may have rejected him and then he just couldn't deal with that rejection.
And that he had shot her and then turned the gun on himself.
