Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon for Mrs. John Barents, 55 years, from the Methodist church, Rev. E J. Plummer officiating with burial in the Ireton cemetery, Mrs. Barents died Sunday evening at five o clock at the home of her son Julius Barents and family, where she was taken after being a patient the Sacred Heart hospital, LeMars, a short time following a stroke, paralyzing parts of her upper body.
Mrs. Barents, the former Jennie Levering, leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, John Barents, two daughters and four sons, who are, Mrs. Henry Walraven, Gerrit, Edward and Julius Barents of Ireton, Miss Jacoba Barents of Eureka, Calif. and John Barents Jr. of Fulda. Minn., also six grandchildren
