Bob COPELAND, 64, Rochester, passed away at 12:23 a.m. Tuesday at his residence.
Bob was born March 25, 1946, in Huntington County, the son of Robert L. and Dorothy (Botkin) Copeland. He married Janet Sue Schwenk on Sept. 2, 1972, in Rochester, and she survives.
Bob worked for the Rochester School Corp. from 1975 until 2009 in various capacities. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Lagro American Legion.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Copeland, Rochester; two sons, Mark and wife Cindy Copeland, Lafayette, and Mike Copeland, Lafayette; his mother, Dorothy Copeland, Rochester; sister Beverly Copeland, Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Mason, Zachary and Sydney; seven nephews; and four great-nieces and two great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rochester, with the Revs. Bert Woolson and Joseph Jacob officiating. Burial will take place in the IOOF Cemetery, Rochester. The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering on Thursday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester.
