Ethel J. Dorcey, 79, of Rock Island, passed away Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009, at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Those wishing to attend should meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to Two Rivers United Methodist Church, Rock Island.
Ethel was born June 12, 1929, in Moline, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Breinstein. She married Donald A. Dorcey on Nov. 28, 1970, in Rock Island.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed fishing, crosswords and reading.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Donald; children and spouse, David Blaser, Santa Ana, Calif., Steve Blaser, Seattle, Wash., Barbara and Kim Blayzor, Garden Grove, Calif., Janet Kortlever, Seattle, Wash.; nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and all her siblings.
