Grandson of President John Tyler. Son of William Nevison Waller and Elizabeth Tyler Waller. Confederate. Killed in action.


He served with the 8th and 11th Virginia Infantry and was at the Battle of Ball's Bluff. He was wounded in action at Williamsburg on 5 May 1862. He became a Midshipman and served on the CSS Patrick Henry. Later he joined Mosby and rode with the 43rd Virginia Cavalry.
