JAMES ETTA 'JIMMIE' YARBROUGH, 92, of 232 S. Highland, retired teacher at Lausanne and Memphis City Schools after 40 years, died of heart failure Saturday at her home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Idlewild Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery Midtown. Memphis Funeral Home Union Chapel has charge. She was a member of the Elizabeth Bate Williams Chapter of United Daughters of the Confederacy, and was formerly with Daughters of the American Revolution and the Delta Study Club. Mrs. Yarbrough, the widow of Jack F. Yarbrough, leaves a daughter, Bonnie Y. Elam of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister, Marcella Crump of Memphis, and two grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorial s be sent to Idlewild Presbyterian Church or Boys Town (Published in The Commercial Appeal 1/24/1995)
