ROTH, Cephas M. Cephas Mahlon Roth, 60, of Tavistock, passed away in Stratford General Hospital on Thursday, November 11, 2010. Cephas was born in Stratford on May 13, 1950, a son of the late Mahlon G. and Erma (Baechler) Roth. He was an electrician and plumber and had been active in the family business, Roth Electric Limited. He was a member and Past President of the Optimist Club of Tavistock. He is survived by his wife, the former Paulette Ruthe Morgenroth, whom he married at Tavistock on August 7, 1971; three children, Andy and wife Paula Roth, Danny and wife Haley Roth, Jesse and husband Mike Harvey, all of Tavistock; five grandchildren, Spencer, Brady and Samantha Roth, Max and Charlee Harvey. Two sisters, Irene Ruby, Beulah and husband Calvin Schwartzentruber; three brothers, Sherman and wife Jenny Roth, Murray and wife Barb Roth, Eugene Roth; sister-in-law, Janet Skiba; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rick and Sharon Morgenroth; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides his parents, Mahlon G. and Erma Roth, he was predeceased by his sister-in-law, Darlene Roth; his brothers-in-law, Doug Ruby, Steve Patterson and Ed Skiba; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Catherine Morgenroth and his great-nephew, Alexander Skiba. Relatives and friends will be received in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock Street North, Tavistock, on Saturday from 5-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the East Zorra Mennonite Church, 16th Line on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Paul Adams of Tavistock Mennonite Church, assisted by Pastor Clare Schumm, will officiate. Interment in East Zorra Mennonite Cemetery, 16th Line.
