DOMINGUEZ Grant County lost one of its venerable pioneers last Friday when death within several hours claimed Francisco Dominguez, 75, and his sister Mrs. Dolores (Lola) Portillo, 82, both born on the Mimbres River. Mr. Dominguez was a retired rancher. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maria Benavides Dominguez; five sons, Joe and Pete, San Lorenzo; Louis, Sherman; Frank and Alfred, Santa Rita; four daughters, Mrs. John B. Allison and Mrs. Annie Barela, Silver City; Mrs. Tom Madrid, Los Angeles and Mrs. Elsie Armstrong, Cheyenne, WY;18 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also four brothers, Joe, Deming; Louis and Roque, Sherman: Leonardo, Los Angeles and a sister, Mrs. Marie Baca, Dwyer.
