Elizabeth J. "Betty" Foster, age 69, died on Friday, May 15, 1998 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison.

She was born on January 18, 1929 in Milwaukee and was the daughter of Michael and Margaret (Metz) Kolasinski. Betty married George Foster on February 12, 1949 in East Bristol. She was a charter member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post No. 10510 in Marshall. Betty and her husband were the owners and operators of Fosters Garage in Sun Prairie for 25 years until her retirement in 1994.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Marilyn (Kenneth) Moen of DeForest; three sons, Steven (Darlene) Foster of Marshall, Donald (Gail) Foster of Marshall, and Larry (Beth) Foster of Sun Prairie; nine grandchildren, Tye, Matthew, Jessica, Tonya, Paula, Clayton, Tracy, Corey, Troy; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marie Frodel; four brothers, Anthony, Edward, Ervin and Thomas Kolasinski.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 1998 at Sacred Hearts Catholic Church, 227 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie, with Father James Hinnen officiating. Burial will be held in Sacred Hearts Cemetery in Sun Prairie. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 1998 at the Tuschen-Newcomer Funeral Home, 302 Columbus St. in Sun Prairie.
