Wilma Faye May, 75, of Providence died at 3:25 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at her home. She was born Aug. 19, 1935, in Hopkins County to Hubert Morse and Audie May Hankins Jenkins. She owned and operated the West Main Market and May's Grocery in Providence and the Cool Town Deli in Nebo. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; and an infant sister.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Peyton of Madisonville; daughters and sons-in-law, Tracy and Coy Poole of Nebo and Debbie and Eddie Melton of Madisonville; a son, Keith Utley of Providence; a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Arlinda Utley of Benton; grandchildren Jeff Utley, Chris Utley, Jamie Peyton, Keila Melton, Mark Melton and Brandon Utley; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services are at 2 p.m. Sunday at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, with the Rev. Terry Rhye officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Madisonville. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Active pallbearers are Jeff Utley, Mark Melton, Eddie Melton, Chris Utley, Coy Poole and Adam DeMoss. Honorary pallbearers are Brandon Utley, L.D. Hankins and Charlie Hankins.
