Ellwood City- Frank E. Foreman, 75, of 109 Fountain Ave. died in Ellwood City General Hospital yesterday at 5:40 p.m. following a one-year illness.
He was born in Sandy Lake, Pa. to Issac and Elizabeth Bixler Foreman. He married Ruth E. McMunn, who survives. He was a retired crane operator after 30 years at the Ellwood Works of U.S. Steel. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Ellport.
He is survived by his wife; six sons, Raymond E., Ralph L., Russell F., Merle R. and Gerald G. of Ellwood City and Earl L. of Virginia Beach, Va.; five daughters, Mrs. Jacob (Marion) Blinn, Mrs. Lawrence (Etta) Hall, Mrs. Donald (Elma Jean) Lambright and Mrs. Frank (Gladys) Peffer of Ellwood City and Mrs. George (Alice) Acker of Wampum; 40 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Fred H., William J., Arlice E. and Charles W; and three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Duncan, Mrs. Margaret Sprague and Mrs. Sue Warren.
Services will be held at the Nazarene Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Elwood R. Vanadiver presiding. Burial will follow in Slippery Rock Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kenneth C. Turner Funeral Home, 500 Sixth St. today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
